Rates Relatively Unchanged

Today's weekly unemployment claims showed a higher than expected than result, and bonds are flat to slightly up today over yesterday. Rates will likely be unchanged or slightly up based on yesterday's weakness in the afternoon. The Labor Deparment posts weekly unemployment figures every week. Typically this data has no effect on mortgage rates as it represents only a weeks worth of data, and thus has not the larger weight of monthly reports. There is no news due out tomorrow, expectations are for a quiet day.
