Mortgage Rates Flat

Mortgage rates began the day with signals of lowering. However, after Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke's cautious, but optimistic testimony before Congress' Joint Economic Committee the market turned flat. Both the debt and equities markets have been in cautiously flat-line trading today. The markets seem to be anticipating response to the two Treasury debt issuance (10 and 30 year notes) and additional economic data later in the week. Most notably is the Friday unemployment numbers.
