As expected mortgage rates begin to climb. As the Treasury moves back on their MBS and treasuries buying and economic indicators begin to point to improvement, mortgage rates trend upwards. However, the housing market still seems to teeter on bleakness as foreclosure filings rose 24%. Many banks are coming out of their foreclosure moratoriums and are pushing their bank sales into the market.
