Mortgage Rates Improve

Mortgage rates are improving this morning. Having spent the week on the rise, mortgage rates are showing signs of improvement. Anticipation of the implementation of the Obama mortgage plan and the early morning surprise of GDP dropping more than expected (down 6.2%) is driving a rally in the MBS market. However, 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rates have been stuck on a floor of 5.0 percent--it will take a lot to break that tension point. MortgageLoan.com mortgage rate survey is indicating 5.21 percent for 30-year fixed-rate mortgage quotes.
