Mortgage rates continue to improve. Slowly moving downward in anticipation that the US government will force them down to 4.5 percent. Current most lenders are showing 30-year fixed-rate mortgages at 5.5 percent. Expect this steady downward pressure to continue as Treasury yields creep up and reconnect with MBS rates, returning mortgage rates to a more normal market condition.
