Mortgage Rates Likely to Rise

Expect ongoing uncertainty and volatility in mortgage rates today. Investors will be attempting to sort out late Friday G7 statements, British actions to inject capital into major banks, and a Monday rally from major Asian and European markets. These factors are likely to trigger a like rally in US markets drawing money out of bonds and back into equities. Expect an upward trend in mortgage rates if the US market begins to rally.
