All mortgage and investor market eyes are on Freddie Mac's debt sale today.
The majority of mortgage rates ride on the confidence of Freddie and Fannie to continually finance debt at attractive market rates. Today's sale of $3 billion by Freddie Mac will be the first test.
This will effect mortgage rates. Watch the spend of the sale to Treasuries for leading indicators of which way they will move.
