Rates Up As Stocks Markets Post Losses

Bonds were up today on stock market weakness. Earnings news on Wall Street prompted stock selling today, bringing treasury bond prices up. We'll see a lift in improvement by .25 to price. Also in the news, but not really affecting mortgage rates was the March Home Resale data annonced by NAR. Resales fell according to forecasts, but the median resale value fell greater than expected. Focus this week is on Thursday's release of March Durable Goods Orders which will give us a sense of the strength of the manufacturing sector.
