Pacific Credit Union
Introduction to Pacific Credit Union
Founded in 1936, pacific Credit Union was originally started for workers of the pacific Gas and Electric Company. Today, Pacific Credit Union services all members in the counties of San Francisco, Sacramento, Marin, Placer, Napa, San Mateo, Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, Sanoma, Salono and Fresno. Any person that lives or works within these counties are eligible for membership. The pacific Credit Union offers several savings, loans and investment products including different types of home financing. Online access and applications are available at: pacificservice.org.
Pacific Credit Union Mortgage Rates
Pacific Credit Union offers rates that are comparable to any other lending institution. They provide a broad range of mortgage products including three year mortgages. Conventional, adjustable, jumbo and conforming loans are all available. They also offer no cost and no point loan packages. Interest rates are determined by amount of loan and the credit of the applicant. Higher credit scores will secure a lower interest rate on any mortgage offered through Pacific Credit Union. The credit union will work with people that have bad credit, but currently do not have any special programs in place specifically geared to them.
Pacific Credit Union Refinance Rates
Pacific Credit Union offers refinancing options for first mortgages. They offer very competitive rates. Mortgage refinancing will be based on credit worthiness, home appraisal and the amount of loan that is desired. Pacific Credit Union offers two ways to refinance your home. The first is through a conventional loan. The second option is referred to as the Prime Line First loan. This loan package has different interest rates, different repayment options than a standard re-fi and is more like a home equity line of credit once the balance begins to be paid down. Borrowers will need to review both programs carefully to determine which is best for them.
Pacific Credit Union Home Equity Rates
Pacific Credit Union has very competitive home equity rates and, in fact, offers three different programs to the consumer. Borrowers can select from a standard home equity loan, which is a lump sum, closed end loan program. The Prime Line Home Equity Program allows the consumer to use their home as a line of credit, making withdrawals whenever necessary against the account. The third option is a Prime Line Home Equity loan on a second home or investment property. Each program has specific qualifications and a loan specialist will need to review the options with the consumer. Applications for all mortgage products, including the home equity lines of credit can be done online via their website at pacificservice.org.
