The purpose of the 401(k) Savings Calculator is to examine the earning potential of a 401(k) account over X number of years. To use this calculator you will need to enter the percent of your salary that you contribute to your 401(k), how much your annual salary is right now, how old you are now, the current balance in your 401(k), how old you will be when you retire, the annual rate of return for your 401(k), your expected annual salary increase, your employer match percentage, and your employer maximum contribution cap percentage. This calculator will use these figures to determine how much you and your employer will contribute to your 401(k) over the years, as well as how much your investments will earn between now and when you retire.
