The 1040 tax calculator will take your filing status, income, deductions and credits and use this information to calculate your total taxes for 2006. Based on your projected withholdings for the year, the calculator can also estimate your tax refund or the tax payment amount that you may owe the IRS on April 15. This calculator uses the preliminary 2006 tax tables, which are subject to modifications by the IRS and changes in the tax code.
